Dr Laura White

Dr Laura obtained her dental degree from UWA in 2011 with honours, and has practiced in the Spearwood, Belmont and Mandurah areas over her career. She loves the diversity of work that general dentistry provides and meeting and helping a wide variety of people. The problem solving and intricacy of the work is fascinating, and no two days are ever exactly the same!

Dr Laura is very good at putting patients at ease during their treatment and is extremely gentle. She enjoys seeing the transition as patients increase the awareness of their oral health and become more and more confident in visiting the dentist. Whilst understanding that a dental visit is unlikely to feature on most people’s “most enjoyable ways to fill a day” list, Laura aims to remove it from her patient’s “least enjoyable” list.

When she is not analyzing teeth you can find Laura enjoying the sunshine with a good book, out for a walk with her dog or friends or spending time with her husband and highly active, smiley toddler.

Dr Amy Lau

Originally from Hong Kong, Dr Amy obtained her dental degree from UWA in 1999 and has worked with the Spearwood Dental Centre team since 2002. She loves being able to assist her patients with putting a great smile back on their faces and in providing great dental care to even the most nervous patients. Amy is known for her gentle treatment and bubbly personality. She enjoys working with all the staff at Spearwood Dental Centre, as they all treat their patients like friends and they share the same professional values.

In her spare time, Amy is a self-confessed ice-cream addict – so it’s a good thing she knows proper brushing technique! Her other passion is Lego and she has recently been able to show her magnificent creations at exhibitions.

Dr Grace Cooper

Dr Grace graduated with her Doctor of Dental Medicine from UWA, and also has a Bachelor of Science (Anatomy and Physiology). She enjoys conservative and preventative dentistry – in her mind it is much better to treat a problem early on than to face a big painful issue later. She is passionate about teaching oral hygiene to her patients so that daily maintenance can lessen the need for drilling and filling.

Dr Grace also enjoys the aesthetic side of dentistry, and helping her patients feel confident about their smile. Her bubbly personality puts her patients at ease and makes treatment much more enjoyable.

She has an interest in musical theatre, where she can express her creative side with a dramatic flair. Grace also likes to head over to Japan when she can, ostensibly to keep up her language skills but in reality to enjoy the cuisine and culture!
